Night at the Library: When Books Come to Life

Join us Tuesday May 19th at 6:30 in the SLOCS Library (a.k.a. Sanctuary) as we watch our students bring literature to life! This is an annual event at SLOCS and one that has been a favorite year after year. We have a very entertaining evening planned for you including a special¬†guest appearance¬†by our school librarian, Mrs. Ybarra! Our TK/K class will be presenting “The Very Hungry Caterpillar.” Our 1st and 2nd graders will be regaling you with fun stories from the “Frog and Toad” book series. Don’t miss a hilarious and touching rendition of “Charlotte’s Web” by our 3rd and 4th grades, and finally, a crowd favorite by our 5th and 6th graders, “The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe” To add to the fun, you can right click the picture below to download your very own official SLOCS Library Card which will give you access to our “Library” after hours. (Don’t worry if you forget yours, we’ll make some exceptions!) Afterward the audience is invited to a “Cast Party’ in the SLOCS courtyard where there will be refreshments and you can collect autographs from our cast members! We hope you will join us! Our students have worked so hard and are excited to fill the sanctuary with a grand audience!
